Colorado's mountains have received their first significant snowfall of the season, marking a wintry start to the fall. Snow was observed at the Eisenhower Tunnel, with snowflakes falling and some accumulation on trees and vehicles, though roads have remained largely clear and not slick.

Visibility has been reduced in some areas due to hazy conditions, and temperatures have dropped as the weather system moved through Summit County and toward Denver. Authorities advise drivers to remain cautious, especially as temperatures are expected to continue falling.

We are on the other side of the Eisenhower johnson tunnels right now as we take in the first full day of fall. It's feeling a little bit more like winter though. You see some of those snowflakes starting to come down and we're certainly seeing the impacts of that wintry like weather rolling in the roads. Not too bad. People slowing down maybe just a little bit, but it's not slick. We're not seeing the snow sticking to the ground. What's becoming more of a concern is these sort of hazy conditions. If you were able to see past them, you can see snow sticking to the trees and snow all up in the mountains. We actually saw some snow dusting on top of some cars on the other side of the tunnels. Keeping that in mind as you start your day on this Tuesday, we've felt the temperatures get lower as we get closer to summit County and we know temperatures are expected to drop in Denver today to in summit County.
