A cold front is draped across the eastern and southeastern U.S., bringing cooler temps and a taste of fall for millions this week. High temperatures will be 5 to 15 degrees below average for many Midwest and Plains states.

A significant cold front is moving through the Midwestern United States, resulting in temperatures that are five to ten degrees below average for this time of year. The cooler conditions are affecting a large portion of the country, including the Great Lakes and upper Midwest regions. 

Humidity levels have also dropped, adding to the autumn-like feel. Cities such as Minneapolis are seeing highs notably below their late August norms, with widespread cooler weather expected to continue and expand into the east and southeast.

We've got all the blues spreading out here from the plains through the Great Lakes. We're talking five to ten degrees below average. Not only that, the humidity has come down quite a bit as well.
