The bodies were found several miles from where the incident occurred, with local residents expressing shock at the recovery near their homes. Authorities have reminded the public to remain cautious of rip currents and to prioritize safety when swimming in the lake.

She brings us the latest live from the scene. Nadine. Rob, Katie, I'm at Huntington Beach where you can hear the wind and see the water in the distance right behind me. This is where that tragedy first unfolded, but six minutes from where I'm standing, just about three miles down Lake Road, is where it came to a heartbreaking end. Take a look at this video. This is the area where officials recovered the bodies of the two brothers, 22-year-old Austin LeBay and 19-year-old Trent Sanchez, earlier today. Cleveland Metro Parks say they were found in the water around 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. in Moraine County and Avon Lake. Neighbors looked out their windows to find their street filled with Avon Lake fire and police crews. Now, to recap, it was Sunday around 5 p.m. when LeBay and Sanchez went to Huntington Beach with their siblings for a day of fun. But just 20 minutes after arriving, the two were waist-deep in the water when a rip current swept them away. Search efforts soon turned into a recovery mission, but conditions on the lake caused several delays. Today, their bodies were finally found. Now, we spoke with Avon Lake residents who were stunned to learn what had happened right near their house. Take a listen. I was surprised. I mean, I know it's been several days we've been following the story as new things have popped up, but I didn't think they'd come this far. Well, yeah, come this far and then right across the street from the house is, I don't know what the chances of that are. Now, as we've continued to tell this story, officials have reminded the public always be cautious and be aware of rip currents. But we also spoke to some residents who live along the lake and actually sadly spotted the boys. They were heartbroken and shaken up by what they saw and, of course, hurting for the families.
