Argentina edged out the Wallabies in a tightly contested rugby union match in Sydney, finishing with a 28-26 victory. The Pumas capitalised on Australian penalties, converting seven penalty goals to build a significant lead. 

Although the Wallabies mounted a late comeback, scoring back-to-back tries after an Argentinian player was sent to the sin bin, Argentina maintained their advantage. Despite scoring only one try, the Pumas managed to hold off Australia’s final push and secure the win.

Joseph Swirly-E lit up the Wallabies' match against Argentina with a brilliant early try in Sydney with Australia hunting back-to-back wins. The Pumas returned fire within three minutes, their captain Julian Montoya with a charge down. Australia punished by the referee, with Argentina booting seven penalty goals to go into a sizeable lead. The Wallabies finally had a call go their way with a Pumas player Simbind on 65 minutes, an advantage Australia capitalised on with back-to-back tries. A forward pass in the build-up missed as Dalgurnu made it a double in the 80th minute. No get-out-of-jail card this time though, Argentina held on 28-26 despite scoring only one try.
