The Royal Australian Air Force will hold an airshow to celebrate 100 years of operation at the Richmond base, featuring some of the country's best fighter jets.

The Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) is set to host an air show at Richmond Air Base, featuring flying displays from fighter jets such as the F-35, EA-18 Growler, and Hawk 127, as well as demonstrations from cargo aircraft including the C-17, C-130 Hercules, and C-27. The event will also include performances by the Roulade Precision Aerobatic Display Team and provide attendees with opportunities to see the latest in aviation technology.

This air show coincides with the 100th anniversary of Richmond Air Base and aims to inspire future recruits by showcasing the skill and professionalism of the RAAF. Organizers anticipate large crowds, with tickets available for purchase and special pricing for adults and children.

So there's a fleet of new, 20 new Hercs coming here, starting in the next couple of years. Flying this close is rare, showcasing incredible expertise, recruiting for the future. Many people have joined the Air Force, me included, because they went to an air show. The September air show also celebrates 100 years of operation at Richmond Air Base. I've been in 22 years and had amazing opportunities throughout. I'd absolutely recommend it.
