He won for directing Adolescence, the hit series which did make history when 15-year-old Owen Cooper won Best Supporting Actor, the youngest person to win an Emmy in 40 years. Standing up here is just, wow, it's just so surreal. Honestly, when I started these drama classes a couple of years back, I didn't expect to be even in the United States, never mind here. The show won six awards in all, including Best Series and Best Actor for Stephen Graham. Favourite shows from times past got some love. Girls both Gilmore and Golden celebrating anniversaries.
