Police in Newburgh, New York, are investigating the death of an 11-year-old boy who was found deceased inside a residence following a shooting. Officers responded to a call in the 800 block of North Miller Street and discovered the young male had died from a gunshot wound.

A homicide investigation is underway, with detectives from Orange County leading the inquiry. Authorities are continuing to gather details about the incident and have stated that the situation is still developing.
