A woman died after falling over a barrier on Interstate 84 in Weber Canyon while attempting to assist at the scene of a crash. The incident occurred near milepost 96 in the westbound lanes, where the woman and a man had stopped their truck to help following an accident.

The Utah Highway Patrol reported that the woman went over the highway barrier and fell to her death. Authorities have not yet identified the woman, and the reason she went over the barrier remains unknown. Multiple lanes of the interstate were closed for about an hour and a half as a result of the incident.

Multiple lanes of Interstate 84 through Weber Canyon were closed for about an hour and a half this morning after an incident in which a woman was killed while trying to help in the aftermath of a crash on the highway. Following an accident in the westbound lanes at milepost 96, a man and woman in a truck. They stopped to try and help out. It was while helping with the incident. The Utah Highway Patrol said the woman went over a highway barrier and fell to her death. It is not known why the woman went over the barrier and she has not yet been identified.
