Residents in Kyiv described the incident as an act of terror, expressing concerns about its impact on ongoing peace negotiations between Ukraine, the US, European allies, and Russia, with Moscow showing little sign of compromise.

It is obviously a bit of a warning sign, not only to Ukraine but also to the rest of Europe, considering the cutting edge technologies that have been used in this attack. Within Europe there is only a very limited capability that can be effectively utilised against this type of threat. Residents in Ukraine's capital described the night attack as an act of terror, with one saying it undermines the ongoing peace talks. Ukraine has met with the US and European allies this week in Paris to negotiate a peace deal before presenting it to Russia. Moscow has shown little indication thus far that it will drop its demands.
