Wildfires continue to affect several regions in Washington state. The Burdoin fire near the Oregon border has burned over 11,000 acres and is 20% contained, with Level 2 and 3 evacuations and road closures still in place. Nearly 800 firefighters are working to contain the blaze.

In Mason County, the Bear Gulch fire has burned nearly 1,000 acres in Olympic National Park and is 10% contained, though no evacuations have been ordered. Meanwhile, evacuation levels have been lowered for the Lake Spokane fire, which is 38% contained and has burned around 2,500 acres.

The Burdoin fire near the Oregon border has burned over 11,000 acres and is now 20% contained. The fire has been burning for a week now, about two and a half miles east of White Salmon. Nearly 800 firefighters are battling the flames right now. Level 2 and 3 evacuations are still in place for residents near the fire. Highway 14, Centerville and Canyon Road remain closed until further notice. Meanwhile, the Bear Gulch fire in Mason County has burned nearly 1,000 acres and is 10% contained. That fire is burning in a very steep, heavily wooded area of Olympic National Park. Firefighters spent last night wrapping structures and installing sprinklers. No evacuation orders are in place at this time. Some good news though, all evacuation levels have been lowered for the Lake Spokane fire. Areas previously under Level 3 evacuations are now at Level 2. That's for those living around Highway 291. The fire sits around 2,500 acres and is 38% contained.

Following four days of border clashes which have left over 30 people dead, the two sides have agreed to Malaysia acting as a mediator in the conflict.
