Rounds of heavy rain and storms could slow you down and lead to flooding across the Plains and much of the South as we head into Labor Day Weekend. The monsoon season stays active across the Southwest and rain chances will linger across New England.

Areas likely to experience weather-related disruptions include Houston, Orlando, New Orleans, Boston, Denver, Dallas, and Atlanta. Travelers are advised to check with their airlines for possible delays, especially as thunderstorms are expected to continue into the weekend. 

The forecast highlights that Atlanta, a major travel hub, could see significant impacts, which may affect air traffic more broadly. Rain and thunderstorms are also anticipated in Dallas and other cities as the weekend progresses, increasing the likelihood of further delays.

Where rain could delay travel ahead of Labor Day

As we look at the forecast for your Friday around the front range we can see a few rain showers happening, but the bulk of the activity in the thunderstorms down off towards the South will see this up towards Boston as well and these are going to be the areas at the airport where we could see some impact some delays across there so around Houston around Orlando are going to watch this around New Orleans also around Boston so there could be a little bit of a time delay just make sure you just call and you never know unless you call in to see if we do have some delays there so as we head into your Saturday that Saturday travel more thunderstorm activity around New Orleans will see this around Orlando as well but even back off towards Denver now we could see a couple of thunderstorms trying to fire up so of course again we'll watch those impacts for the thunderstorms on your Saturday back off towards Dallas you'll see this Atlanta you're going to be in on this and you know Atlanta biggest hub here so that can really stop things snarl that traffic in the air we'll see more of the same as we head towards Sunday around Dallas with some rain.
