Additionally, larger retailers and service providers, including Lowe's and U-Haul, are providing free cleanup supplies and temporary storage to help residents recover from the disaster.

While the sun has started to peak out, things are still dim for families who are recovering from the floods that hit southeast Wisconsin. I'm Merrill Hubbard in West Alice where you can see the cost of cleanup is piling up. I had to hear all night I was restless. The water just flowing in and everything crashing about. You know, and now I don't know like how we're supposed to pay for this. Aspen and her family are trying to recover their belongings after the flood hit their home and filled their basement with water as many households start to tally up the loss. They also are starting to budget how much materials cost to clean up. Beth Collins is the owner of look for less and she gets supplies that were either on clearance or out of season at big box stores and sells them for 40 to 50% off. She says she's bringing in items like fans, wet vacuums, air purifiers, and dehumidifiers to help those in need. So I hope my customers see that I really care about them and I care about their well being and I also care about saving the money. Beth says she expects shipments to come in Wednesday and Thursday to help lighten the load for those affected by the floods along with look for less. Lowe's is offering free cleanup supplies to the first 190 customers today at its stores in Wauwatosa and Franklin and U-Haul is offering 30 days of free self storage across Metro Milwaukee.
