I don't know how this situation in the Caribbean will end or how it will be resolved. Venezuelan leader Nicolás Maduro says his position hasn't changed, and that he is willing to engage in face-to-face dialogue with Donald Trump. Peace will be my haven, my greatest desire, my hope. To say it is our victory, and peace will continue to be our victory, achieved through our own efforts. But Maduro also stresses that Venezuela is prepared to defend itself. With Trump warning that the U.S. will soon target suspected Venezuelan traffickers on land, Maduro's armed forces may well be put to the test.
