I'm Kevin Lewis in Tampa where I caught up with a record-setting player who's not looking to slow down anytime soon. Breaking the program record in the conference opener was so fun Wes Enos tried to do it again but the most he could do was tie his own mark of 10 three-pointers made in one game. It feels good you know you're not really you're really not thinking actually you're just a thing they call flow state you know you're just obsessed and involved in the game and you're just kind of lost in the game like you just almost black out in the instance. Wes is ambidextrous he started his youth basketball career as a right-handed player but something wasn't right so in seventh grade he decided why not give this left-handed thing a try. I know I'm not gonna be very very tall so I'm gonna need to develop a jump shot my right hand was just never there for the shooting one so I decided going in the eighth grade is how to switch because I do everything else left hand like brush my teeth eat everything like that so I switched and I guess it worked out. Enos was barely recruited out of high school zero out of a possible five stars he made a stop in Division two before landing in Tampa where it's a good thing his current coach doesn't live and die by rankings. He's probably one of the hardest workers on our team and and we tell the guys all the time just stick with it you know keep pounding the stone eventually eventually it's gonna crack and it did it cracked open for him. I always thought I could be in this position I never stopped believing in myself so just belief in myself and then continue hard work and then you know God put me in positions to be where I am today. Wes was putting in so much work that the coaching staff had to save him from himself. Yeah we had to scale him back we had to kind of get him to just be more precise in what he does and less time. He's a non-stop relentless worker. I don't want to ever have a doubt in my mind that I can put more work in you know I want to max out you know then I'll be able to live with myself I can't really live with myself I'm not able to max out.
