A shooting incident occurred in a South Ogden neighborhood, resulting in two people being injured and hospitalized. Police responded to reports of gunfire and were fired upon when they arrived, but no officers were physically harmed. The suspect eventually surrendered and was taken into custody by law enforcement. 

Authorities have not yet released information regarding the motive or circumstances leading up to the incident. The investigation is ongoing, and police have stated that further updates will be provided in the coming days.

Damon, thank you so much. We continue to track breaking news this morning of a shooting in South Ogden inside a neighborhood that prompted a massive law enforcement response well into the night. Our team was on the ground through the night, working to get information about what exactly happened. And we're joined now by FOX 13's Tina Giuliano, who is at the scene with the latest. Good morning, Tina. Good morning. So this has been an interesting scene over the past several hours. We've seen police descend on this area last night and then slowly since then, once they definitely figured out what was happening, they started to move out. And that's what we're seeing right now is the scene is changing. We had some closure still. There's the tape on the other side of the neighborhood that still is up, but the tape that was blocking the other entrance in the neighborhood is now lifted. So no major roads were ever blocked, were blocked here. We're just seeing that it's slowly starting to get a little bit back to normal. So what's happening is last night, two people were shot and one person was taken into custody. And South Ogden police were dispatched when they heard the shots, when they, you know, heard reports that shots were fired. They became under fire when they arrived and they were not physically harmed, but they immediately called for assistance and the suspect fired multiple rounds and later that's when police found that the two people were shot. They were taken to the hospital and then the suspect was taken into custody after he surrendered. So or the person surrendered rather. And so we don't know exactly what the motive was, what were the events leading up to that situation. So we're still looking to hear more information from police, but they said that right now they aren't going to get give any interviews at this time, but we'll definitely still be watching out for any updates that they will give us throughout the next several days here. So I'm gonna send it back to you guys um with at the desk.
