You know, as an actor walking into the areas here at Comic-Con and people's reaction, it's the closest thing you'll ever experience to being a rock star. So, you know, I just, I feel like Mick Jagger every time I walk in. The show follows a band of outsiders who enter a chaotic contest called Twisted Metal, hosted by the enigmatic Calypso. Behind the wheel of weaponised, highly modified vehicles, they battle in a deadly demolition derby where only one can win. Fans say the over-the-top action and wild characters feel like the video game has come to life on screen. No, I meet so many young people now who watch the show who are learning about the game. Who didn't even know the show was based on a game and then went back and found the game from the show. And even with my son, my 16-year-old, he watched the first season and, you know, we went back and played the game together. He was like, this is impossible. How would you play this? It's not like riding a bike. This is impossible. And it's the only game I can beat him at. It's all happening. Anthony Mackie and Stephanie Beatrice are back as John Doe and Quiet, partners and drivers in the dystopian world, hoping to bring freedom to everyone. Season 2 will be available for streaming on Peacock on July 31st.
