President Trump arrived in Switzerland to address the World Economic Forum in Davos, where his recent push to acquire Greenland is expected to dominate discussions. European leaders and NATO allies have expressed concerns about the proposal, with many seeking to meet Trump to de-escalate tensions and address the impact on international relations.

In addition to the Greenland issue, Trump is expected to emphasize the strength of the U.S. economy in his speech, with Secretary of State Marco Rubio indicating that economic topics will be a primary focus. The president may also outline proposals on affordability and housing, as polling shows Americans are concerned about domestic economic issues.

The president offered a brief preview of his overseas trip while leaving the White House last night. I'm going to Davos. I believe it'll be very successful, this will be an interesting trip. I have no idea what's going to happen, but you are well represented. And we've got team coverage ahead of the president's upcoming speech. CBS News foreign correspondent, Rami Innocencio, is standing by in London. He just spoke to Denmark's former prime minister. But let's begin with CBS News correspondent, Natalie Brand, who is live at the White House. Natalie, good morning. Tell us what we might expect from President Trump's speech here in the next few hours, and how his attempted push to purchase Greenland will overshadow this appearance. Yeah, good morning, Errol. The president has previewed that he has a lot of meetings scheduled on the topic of Greenland. We know he's been in touch with the NATO Secretary General and that a lot of European leaders and allies are hoping to chat with him face-to-face on the sidelines to try to de-escalate the situation and raise their concerns about his escalating talk to take over Greenland. Many of those meetings are expected to happen after this big speech this morning, in which everyone will be listening to see exactly what he says about Greenland and the NATO alliance, since allies say that this latest standoff is really straining and testing it. Now, yesterday, the president made a rare appearance in the press briefing room, was pressed on these topics, and he said he thinks that they will come to some sort of agreement that everyone is happy with. Here's more of his exchange with reporters on the topic of Greenland. How far are you willing to go to acquire Greenland? You'll find out. We have a lot of meetings scheduled on Greenland, and I think things are gonna work out pretty well, actually. So, he did not go into specifics, but again, kept saying that he thinks things are gonna work out, reiterating that he believes this is about U.S. security and world security. Now, aside from the topic of Greenland, the president has said that he wants to go to Davos with a message that America is strong and that the economy is strong. Secretary of State Marco Rubio, speaking to reporters on Air Force One, traveling with the president, told them that this will largely be an economic speech. And earlier this month, the president had previewed that he might outline some affordability and housing proposals in this speech. It comes as we know that polling, Errol, shows that many Americans still think he is not focusing enough on lowering prices at home. Viewers keep telling us that's the most important issue to them.
