A commuter train in Barcelona derailed after a retaining wall collapsed onto the tracks, resulting in the death of at least one person and injuries to 37 others. Emergency services reported that five of the injured were in serious condition, while six sustained less severe injuries. 

Authorities dispatched 20 ambulances and 38 fire department units to the scene. The incident follows a recent train collision in Adamuz, near Cordoba, which resulted in 42 fatalities. Spain's railway operator, Adif, indicated that heavy rainfall in the region likely caused the wall's collapse.
