Concerns were raised about the risks of linking U.S. aid to another country's political outcomes, as well as the potential impact on American industries competing with Argentine businesses. The panel also touched on other topics, including border security and the honoring of conservative activist Charlie Kirk, but the primary focus remained on the implications of the proposed bailout and its alignment with U.S. interests.

political panel joining us now. P-Ray Easley is the founder of Chicago Red, also joining us as Brad Palumbo. He's a Steamboat Institute Blankly fellow. Good morning to you both. P-Ray, we'll start with you. On the peace deal in Gaza, a lot to discuss here. As I just mentioned, President Trump posting this on Truth Social, saying, quote, all 20 hostages are back and feeling as good as can be expected. A big burden has been lifted. But the job is not done. The dead have not been returned, as promised. Phase two begins right now. Now the president, they're talking about living hostages, but we're expecting to see a return of deceased hostages by Hamas, with eight out of the 28 bodies already returned to the Israeli homeland. So P-Ray, what impact do you see this having on the fragile truce and regional stability? I think that President Trump was very successful in breaking a peace deal, and he did that by wielding American power. The fact that he was able to go in and get this war solved shows that he is someone who's focused on peace. I think that the hostages are going to be returned. I think that the Palestinians are happy to be home, and that the Israelis are tired of fighting. So now we can move on to the next phase, and that's returning the hostages so that people can begin to rebuild their lives. So true. Shifting to President Trump's meeting with Javier Mille yesterday, Trump calling him MAGA all the way, but also pointing to the Argentinian bailout. Being contingent on Mille, remaining in power and in office, is this kind of bold economic alliance the U.S. needs, or is it risky to tie aid to electoral outcomes? I think a lot of people would say, you know what? After President Trump cut a lot of taxpayer dollars being doled out all over the world, not seeing a return, Brad, some people might say that's good policy, while others might say it's risky. But most importantly, what say you? Yeah, look, I just, I love Javier Mille. I think he's done a great job in Argentina, but I don't understand this policy from Trump. $20 billion in subsidies and bailouts for another country. Is the America first in the room with us? I thought we were supposed to keep our money here, not be sending it overseas. And in fact, some of the industries and businesses he'd be subsidizing in Argentina are competitive with the same U.S. businesses and farmers that Trump is trying to protect and uplift with his own domestic policies. So I wish Javier Mille nothing but luck in restoring economic success in Argentina. But the idea that the U.S. should be coming in and giving any kind of bailout to them seems totally at odds with the American public's priorities and with Trump's America first message, which was all about keeping our money and keeping our resources here, not setting them overseas. I hear your point, Brad, and I think it's well taken for the majority of our viewers. I do think there is another perspective, though, that we can have America first and support our allies who are nearby in the region. And to think, too, China has made so many inroads in Latin America and South America, Central America. We basically are in need of partnering with nations who support us to have that allegiance. Pi-Rae, what's your assessment of this $20 billion bailout? To my co-panelists' point, we need that money here in America. Yes, we want to show diplomacy through aid. However, we have to look bigger than this $20 billion aid package. That means that the president will also be tied to the outcomes of the president of Argentina, not just in the agricultural sector, but military, social, because the president is directly influencing their election using $20 billion. So what good, bad, or ugly, people are going to tie that back to the American government, and that's a little risky. I agree. It shouldn't be free cash. It should actually be used with regard to trade, strengthening another nation, while also focusing on our interests right here at home, based upon what Americans need and what Argentina is willing to export. But we're not willing to receive drugs. Drug cartels are reportedly putting $50,000 bounties on ICE and Border Patrol agents, especially in cities like Chicago. What does this escalation say about the current state of border enforcement, and how should local communities and law enforcement respond, Brad? Well, I think it's horrifying. I think it's terrible that anyone, especially these criminal enterprises, would target American law enforcement and their families in this way. It should be condemned across the board. Same with some of the other demonization of ICE officers and rhetoric. It goes beyond the pale, absolutely. However, I think a lot of Americans are increasingly growing concerned with the tactics of ICE. I mean, you have people without uniforms whose faces are covered, who are in unmarked vehicles, sometimes just a minivan, arresting people, sometimes detaining U.S. citizens or detaining people with legal status for days until they can prove it. So we should have a conversation about whether ICE is going too far. But this kind of violent attacks on our law enforcement and this rhetoric is absolutely unacceptable, no matter what. Yeah, it's absolutely unacceptable. And the media is also a major part of it in the way in which they are portraying the individuals who are trying to protect our fundamental freedoms in this country. I do want to get to this, Pierre. The president made his way back from the briefest trip ever taken by a sitting president to Israel. I think he got back at 2 a.m. in the morning. He does not stop. He did so, though, to make it back in time to posthumously honor the late Charlie Kirk. Let's have a listen. Charles James Kirk was a visionary and one of the greatest figures of his generation. He was truly an amazing figure. In growing leaps and bounds, he knew that the fight to preserve our heritage is waged not only on the battlefield and in the halls of power, of which we have tremendous power, but also in the hearts of our nation's youth. That's where Charlie rode strongest. With the president honoring Charlie Kirk with the Presidential Medal of Freedom, Pierre, what does this mean for his legacy and for the conservative movement with young activists today? Without Charlie Kirk, there would be no Chicago Red. In 2018, I went to the Young Black Leadership Summit held at the White House and sponsored by Turning Point USA. At that event, that's where I got red-pilled by the president of the United States. And now you see the troops are here in Chicago because we were able to build those inroads through doors that Charlie opened for us. So, Charlie has fundamentally changed the landscape of America, and we will continue to honor him by recruiting more young people, giving them the patriotic esteem that they need in order to propel themselves away from this culture of liberal progressive failure. Well, we definitely believe in diverse voices, but this segment must end. Why? Because we have breaking news coming out of Israel. Take a listen.
