New York State Police arrested Jaquan Dancy, 30, of Poughkeepsie, after a traffic stop on the Taconic State Parkway in LaGrange led to the discovery of significant amounts of narcotics. A police canine alerted officers to the presence of drugs, resulting in a search that uncovered over 2,300 grams of cocaine, 235 grams of fentanyl, and more than $1,400 in cash.

Dancy was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell. He was arraigned in the town of LaGrange Court and remanded to the Dutchess County Justice and Transition Center.

During the stop, a canine conducted an exterior scan of the vehicle, resulting in a positive alert for narcotics. So after searching the vehicle, troopers found more than 2,300 grams of cocaine, 235 grams of fentanyl, and more than $1,400 in cash. Dancy was arrested and charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance with the intention of selling it. He was arraigned before the town of LaGrange Court and remanded to the Dutchess County Justice and Transition Center.
