UK police have confirmed that terrorism has been ruled out as a motive following a stabbing attack on a train that resulted in 11 people being hospitalized, most with serious injuries. Witnesses reported that two men began stabbing passengers shortly after the train departed, and armed police responded swiftly after the train made an emergency stop at Huntingdon station.

Authorities arrested two men, aged 32 and 35, on suspicion of attempted murder. Officials commended the quick actions of the train crew and police, and stated that investigations into the attackers' motivation are ongoing.

Witnesses say two men began stabbing passengers soon after the train left the station. They recount how some were covered in blood. One of the people that were coming through had my headphones on, then heard them say, they've got a knife, I've been stabbed. And then when looking up, so they were making their way through the carriage to get away from the incident, from the suspects. They were extremely bloodied. That person ended up, when we pulled in, they were basically on the floor. Armed police rushed the train after the crew made an emergency stop at Huntingdon station. Police described the two men they arrested. The first male, a 32-year-old male, a black British national, and a 35-year-old man, a British national of Caribbean descent. They were both arrested on suspicion of attempted murder. Officials have praised the train crew and police for their quick actions, bringing the men into custody within minutes. Now they say they are trying to determine the attacker's motivation, but they're ruling out terrorism.

Two more suspects, a man and a woman arrested this week over the jewel heist at the Louvre, have been charged and remanded in custody, prosecutors have said. The charges on Saturday brought the number of people now charged over the spectacular robbery to four.
