Three people died and two others were seriously injured after a police chase ended in a deadly crash Tuesday night in Milwaukee.

Three adults have died and several others were injured after a police chase in Milwaukee ended in a crash near 35th and Belief. Authorities report that officers attempted to stop a vehicle, but the driver fled and subsequently collided with another car. 

The crash resulted in the deaths of three adults in the struck vehicle, while two others from the same car sustained serious injuries and were taken to hospital. The 19-year-old driver of the fleeing vehicle was arrested and hospitalized, and criminal charges are expected to be referred to the Milwaukee County District Attorney's office.

Police say the officers attempted to stop a driver near 36 and right just before 9 40 last night, that driver fled but crashed moments later into another vehicle. Police say three adults who were in the car that was hit died from their injuries to others inside that same vehicle were seriously injured and taken to a local hospital. The driver of the fleeing vehicle, a 19 year old man was arrested and taken to a hospital. Two people inside the car also had non life threatening injuries. Criminal charges will now be referred to the Milwaukee County District Attorney's office in the upcoming days.
