Flyers have been posted warning residents after several people reported being bitten and scratched by the animal. One resident required emergency medical treatment following a particularly vicious bite. While experts have stated that squirrels do not carry rabies, the incident has left the community uneasy. Wildlife officials are currently searching for the squirrel in question.

So then it wasn't furry and cute. Joan have black walks five miles every day in her scenic neighborhood where she says wildlife usually shies away from humans. She got a text from a neighborhood realtor, alerting her that a squirrel attacked a woman nearby. Did that seem outlandish to you? Or is it like no way that that couldn't have happened? Yeah I got a text from a neighbor who said he had a squirrel. He was scratching his head and scratching on her leg. I started waving my leg around and screaming. Get off. Get off me as he kept on clinging more tightly and biting me. The bite so vicious, it sent head black to the emergency room. They said squirrels do not have rabies. Still residents are nervous about the nutty squirrel wildlife experts are still looking for this squirrel. Well we don't know her name. So how would they be able to find her?
