Video obtained by Reuters showed the remains of a rocket outside a school, and another impact on a home in Herzliya, north of Tel Aviv. The Israeli military identified eight projectiles from the Gaza Strip, intercepting several of them. There were no reported casualties following this attack.

The rocket barrage underlined Hamas's resilience amid an ongoing Israeli offensive in Gaza. Israel's military action followed an attack by Hamas-led militants on Israeli communities, resulting in around 1,200 deaths and over 250 hostages. The Israeli campaign, now in its seventh month, has purportedly caused the deaths of over 35,000 people according to Palestinian health officials, leaving much of Gaza in ruins.

Relief organizations have raised alarms over severe shortages of food and medicine in Gaza, accusing Israel of restricting aid. To alleviate some of the distress, the U.S. military has constructed a pier to facilitate aid delivery by sea, with video showing trucks loaded with supplies at the new pier.

The city of Rafa remains a focal point in both combat and ceasefire discussions. The International Court of Justice recently ordered Israel to halt military operations in Rafa, highlighting the risk to civilians there.

Israel's emergency services said they'd received no reports of casualties. But the volley demonstrated the armed Palestinian group's resilience, despite Israel's Gaza offensive. Israel invaded Gaza after Hamas-led militants attacked Israeli communities on October 7, killing around 1,200 people and seizing more than 250 hostages, according to Israeli tallies. Israel's retaliatory operation is now in its seventh month, and Palestinian health officials say Israel's campaign has killed more than 35,000 people. Swathes of the densely populated Gaza Strip have been reduced to rubble. Relief organizations have warned Gaza's population is catastrophically short of food and medicine, and blamed Israel for limiting aid into the enclave. To relieve some of the pain, the U.S. military built a pier to receive aid by sea. Video released by the Israeli military on Sunday purports to show trucks loaded with supplies at the new pier. Focus in both the fighting and ceasefire talks continues to center on the city of Rafa, where Israeli forces say they are committed to rooting out remaining Hamas fighters.
