Well, one event landed at Tampa International Airport today to help those families travel with ease. Yeah, traveling by plane is something this family from old smart hasn't done in five years since their son, David was born. We haven't even flown with him because of his autism. You know, sometimes he can get overwhelmed, he can scream and you know, we were just always nervous. The unknowns and unintentional judgment keeping the family from trying it. You know, it's not easy for others to, you know, not to judge, but there's people who don't like it. That was until saturday, you know, you're all set where the wings for autism event landed at T. P. A. Put on by the Arc Tampa Bay Foundation, T. P. A. And Southwest Airlines, which is essentially a dress rehearsal for individuals who have autism and other intellectual and developmental disabilities to try out the whole experience of going through an airport so they can participate more effectively in airline travel. And it is at every stressful stage from the moment they check in to showing T. S. A. Your tickets, getting your bags through security to boarding the plane. We are about to begin the boarding process all to ease the pressure on parents while their kids experience the joys of air travel by 1 to 23 was an opportunity that is precious for these families. You almost feel ostracized when you're a mom or a dad with a child with autism because it's hard. They, a lot of them can socialize and play with other kids. So this is nice opportunity to meet others as well. It was the first time the wings for autism event came to Tampa International. It quickly reached capacity with 100 families who took part today due to that high demand.
