Inner West Council immediately sent its compliance officers forcing the owner to act. He's seen here taking the signage down. Officers noted just down the road, this sign with Mario Kart characters quickly disappeared too. It's absolutely blatant, we're seeing characters like Mario and Luigi or La Boo Boo popping up on signs, clearly trying to induce kids in through this signage and lollies. It's illegal. Those passing by today were not impressed. Well I think they're trying to crash in on, you know, obviously the craze, but yeah, two of them together probably don't go too well. While the owner did not want to speak on camera today, he did tell us he had a new name for his store, but he wasn't revealing it just yet. With community outrage growing. We know that we need more powers to actually prevent these shops from opening in the first place. Last week we introduced legislation with massive new penalties to be able to shut these shops down. The commercial possession of illicit tobacco will carry fines of up to 1.5 million dollars and seven years in jail. As for this La Boo Boo?
