It's a little bit slower pace of growth than we had been seeing through March of 2025. We have really been seeing the pace of growth slow down throughout spring on the back of the fact that interest rate cuts are starting to look less and less likely. Even with the slight decrease in the average cost of a home in the harbour city, the annual growth was 6.4%, that's an average of $100,000. No relief for Sydneysiders, with the median price for all homes still the highest in the country at $1.2 million. But experts say prices won't be rising as much in 2026, up about 6-8% nationally, compared to almost 9% in 2025. With warnings there still won't be any relief for buyers in the new year.
