Australian cyclist Ben O'Connor emerged victorious on stage 18 of the Tour de France, known as the Queen stage for its challenging climbs. O'Connor launched a solo attack with 16 kilometres remaining and managed to hold off his competitors, marking his first stage win at the Tour in four years. 

Despite suffering a fall on the opening day, O'Connor expressed pride in his achievement. Meanwhile, Tadej Pogacar continued to dominate the general classification, further extending his overall lead.
