After a recent victory over the Melbourne Stars, the Renegades are looking to extend their winning streak, while the Stars struggle with form, particularly Glenn Maxwell’s recent performances.

Meanwhile, the Hobart Hurricanes, reigning BBL champions, have secured a top three position following a 37-run win against the Adelaide Strikers. Mitch Owen played a pivotal role for the Hurricanes, scoring 33 runs off just nine balls, as the Strikers failed to chase the target of 179.

After starting the season strongly the stars are in a slump having lost three straight. Glenn Maxwell is out of form scoring three runs in his last three innings. But Sandhu is wary. You do create some pressure but also just be mindful of rattling the cage and him coming out firing as well. The Strikers return to Adelaide today after being taught a lesson last night by the top of the table Hobart Hurricanes. Pitched up again, straight down, exactly where he wanted it. The reigning BBL champs beat the Strikers by 37 runs. The win set up by one of the country's best short form batters, Mitch Owen. Straight. The opener smashed 33 off nine balls including four sixes.
