Former Boeing-NASA administrator Sean Duffy celebrated Monday's test flight in a post on X. Another major step towards landing Americans on the moon's south pole. However, the Artemis mission's timeline has been set back by a series of explosions in previous Starship test flights. The pressure is on for NASA as China's rival moon effort targeting 2030 advances. While Duffy has insisted the U.S. will win what he called a second space race, former administrator Jim Bridenstine recently told a Senate panel that this is highly unlikely. Monday's flight was the final launch of this Starship prototype, which will soon be replaced by an upgraded version.
