This is happening tonight at Senator Padilla's office on Bush Street and at Senator Adam Schiff's office down south in Burbank. Protesters say it's all in response to the senators both voting against Senator Bernie Sanders' resolution last month that would have stopped U.S. weapons flow into Israel's military. Now police are at the scene in San Francisco attempting to get demonstrators to disperse but also taking people away in zip ties. This joint demonstration is organized by the activist group Jewish Voice for Peace. Israeli troops are pressing deeper into Gaza City and officials say evacuations are inevitable even though roughly one million people there are currently sheltering. They're being told to head south where Israel says they will be given ample humanitarian aid. What we're doing is moving them to safety so that we can determine the final outcome of prosecuting this war with the complete elimination of Hamas. Last week a famine was declared in Gaza City and aid groups warn a larger Israeli offensive could make the situation even worse. Israeli and U.S. officials met today at the White House to discuss plans for Gaza after the war.
