A suspect is being sought in the shooting death of a man in a parked car in Miramar.

San Diego police are investigating a fatal shooting that occurred in Miramar, where a man was shot while sitting in his car outside a business on Production Avenue. The suspect, described as a white male in his forties, was last seen fleeing the area and is still at large. 

Authorities believe the shooter and the victim knew each other, though the motive remains unclear. Police are focusing their investigation on an RV seen near the scene and are seeking search warrants for both the RV and the victim's car. The public is urged to contact police with any information regarding the incident.

Search on for gunman in deadly Miramar shooting

in Miramar, where police are searching for a gunman who shot and killed a man while he sat in his car. The shooting happened yesterday outside of business on Production Avenue. That's just north of Miramar Road. ABC 10 News reporter Danny Miskell is there live this morning. Danny, the suspect is still on the run. Police say, though there is no threat to the public. That's right, Jared. So I'm standing here on Production Avenue, where that shooting took place yesterday in the late afternoon, and SDPD says they believe that the shooter and the victim knew each other. They're just still trying to figure out why the shooter walked up to the car where the victim was sitting in and shot him. That shooter was last seen running in this direction here behind me north on Production Avenue. We now have a description of who SDPD is looking for. So the description of the shooting suspect was a white male in his forties. There's a person of interest that we're still trying to confirm identity, and that's part of the investigation will release that information when it's appropriate. But he was described about 59 £200 white male, dark shirt, black shorts. San Diego Police Department says they arrived here several minutes after citizens reported shots fired. They found a hispanic male in his fifties shot in the passenger seat of a white car. He was taken to the hospital and did not survive. Witnesses also told police that the gunman was seen coming out of an RV they saw parked here in the area, and he was holding a handgun. At last check, police are now focusing their efforts on not only finding the suspect, but they were waiting for search warrants to search that RV and the white car involved in the shooting. One of the witnesses was the manager of S. D. R. C. Raceway, and he said it's unusual for something like this to happen around here. Really odd again. Pretty safe place here in San Diego. Uh, it's a business park. We don't get too many people past five o'clock. You know, we're really the only place open, uh, after dark. Um, but it's, uh, kind of exciting and disturbing at the same time. And I called the San Diego Police Department this morning. The watch commander told me they still have no updates on the search for this suspect.
