In addition to Russia, there are representatives of the CIS, Bricks, CSO, Africa, Asia, Latin America and other representatives from Europe and one from the USA. Russia was banned from competing in the Eurovision in 2022 after its invasion of Ukraine, and this competition is seen as a substitute for the Russian citizens' denied participation in the previous contests. We want Russia and the Russian people to be known. We consider the barriers erected by the collective West to be harmful, and especially the role that the Biden administration played in this. On the same day a ground offensive was launched in Gaza City, a United Nations Commission of Inquiry report concluded Israel has committed genocide in Gaza, a finding emphatically denied by Israeli officials.
