The shift marks a notable change in how Trump is portrayed in Russian media, moving from a figure of hope for peace to one blamed for escalating tensions.

On Kremlin-controlled television, President Trump's U-turn on Ukraine was breaking news. Trump's now following in the footsteps of former U.S. President Joe Biden, the anchor says, promising weapons to Ukraine to force Moscow to the negotiating table.
