The gathering will include a full day of music, performances, and prayer, culminating in an evening vigil and a mass led by the Pope. Over 2,500 volunteers, more than 1,000 stewards, and police authorities will coordinate security, healthcare, and crowd management throughout the event.

Final preparations are underway in Rome ahead of the much-anticipated 2025 Youth Jubilee. Half a million young people are expected to gather at the Tor Vergata, filled on the outskirts of the capital, for the largest event of the Catholic Church's Holy Year. Workers on Monday were rushing to complete the giant altostage, security infrastructure and hydration points ahead of the event's start on August 2nd. First of all, this is an altostage, by definition, because a mass will be celebrated here. It's a stage that was made by a consortium of three Italian companies. It consists of the 1,400-metre floor, which is placed at a height of five metres to allow even people who will be farther away to see, since there will be kids who will be even two kilometres away. So maybe they will only see a dot in the distance, but they will see it elevated from the ground. The Jubilee will begin with a full day of music, performances and prayer, ahead of an evening vigil with the Pope. The Holy Father will close the celebration with a mass on Sunday morning. Here we will have coordination of the more than 2,500 volunteers who will provide assistance to the youth within the various sectors of the Tor Vergata camp, but also healthcare. So we will be working in coordination all together with police authorities, who will be doing the filtering and police controls inside the Tor Vergata camp, and also with the more than 1,000 stewards who will be helping the security forces and the volunteers to manage these people who will be here starting August 2nd. The Vatican said pilgrims are expected to arrive from a total of 146 nations.
