Ukrainian analysts and civil society have rejected the idea of conceding to Russian terms, while Zelensky warned that a lack of resolution could lead to diminished international mediation efforts.

While Putin often threatens a continent-wide war to try to scare his adversaries, his goal this time may be to undermine support for Ukraine and to pressure Vladimir Zelensky. Three quarters of Ukrainians are not ready for peace at any price. But this Ukrainian analyst says the country's military and civil society will not accept Putin's terms. If you put more pressure on President Zelensky, he will sign and everything is going to work fine, no. Not an easy situation, let me tell you, what a mess.
