Princess Anne has arrived in Sydney as part of her whirlwind royal tour, amid the fallout of her brother King Charles stripping Prince Andrew of his titles. The Queen's only daughter had a military welcome at Government House.

Princess Anne, the Princess Royal, arrived in Sydney for a four-day official visit to Australia, where she is marking the centenary of the Royal Australian Corps of Signals, an organization for which she has served as Colonel-in-Chief since 1977. Just after 9am, the official motorcade drove up sleepy Oxford Street before heading to Government House. Alongside her husband, Vice-Admiral Sir Timothy Lawrence, she was greeted by our Governor-General Sam Mostyn and an official smoking ceremony welcome to country. Enjoying the sunshine before heading to the Sydney War Cemetery for a service of remembrance and to lay a wreath. The Royal couple spending time with the family of Sergeant Brett Wood, who served in the Royal Australian Regiment and died in Afghanistan.
