Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban announced that U.S. President Donald Trump has agreed to exempt Hungary from sanctions related to its continued imports of Russian oil and gas. Orban stated that Hungary requested exemptions for two specific energy lines, and President Trump decided these sanctions would not apply to them.

In addition to the exemption, Orban revealed that Hungary reached a deal to acquire U.S. liquefied natural gas worth approximately $600 million. The two countries also agreed on arrangements for Hungary to purchase U.S. nuclear fuel and to enhance cooperation in nuclear energy.

The Hungarian Premier also announced that his meeting with Trump reached a deal on acquiring U.S. liquefied natural gas, worth around $600 million. He also shared that they've reached an agreement for Budapest to begin purchasing U.S. nuclear fuel, as well as boost nuclear energy collaboration.
