Well, the Israeli military carried out strikes in three towns in southern Lebanon in the past hour They issued what they call evacuation Warnings, it's not the first time they've hit southern Lebanon In fact in the past year since a ceasefire came into force in November 2024 we've seen these attacks happen Near daily, but when they issue and not all the time they issue evacuation orders Most of these strikes come without prior warning what they when they do this What it what it does really is cause a panic and you know, you see people Leaving villages making their way towards Beirut because of the tense situation in the country in in recent weeks We've been hearing from Israeli officials almost daily saying that They were they're going to intensify attacks against Hezbollah Repeating an accusation that Hezbollah is Rearming even accusing the Lebanese government of failing in its commitment to disarm Hezbollah So you have you know? Tensions building up and as I'm talking to you now an Israeli drone is flying overhead at very low altitude And we are in the center of the capital a traffic is now sin people are making their ways home But clearly Israel is sending a message Just hours after Hezbollah issued an open letter to the country's leadership as well as to the people of Lebanon Saying three things one we will not accept any political negotiations with Israel direct talks Which the president said Lebanon has no choice but to negotiate So this is also a message to the leadership and Hezbollah saying that it has legitimate rights to defend against aggression So Hezbollah saying no to to disarmament while committing itself to that ceasefire Agreement so tensions are building up and there's a lot of concern But Israel's action so far shows that it wants to send a message And it's still not going to you know on a full it We're still not with a full-on escalation if you like all right Zayn obviously a fluid intense situation I'm sure we'll be coming back to in the hours ahead for more updates.
