Police have received over 1,100 reports, including unconfirmed sightings of Freeman interstate, and are urging returning holidaymakers to report any unusual activity. While the search area has expanded, police state that all scenarios remain possible, including Freeman still being in the area, being harboured, or deceased.

It was the largest tactical policing operation in Australian history with no shortage of challenges but clearing the area has given officers confidence it's now safe to lift restrictions for travellers. It's a sense of relief. It means that we can get back into business, we can start welcoming people back to Bright. There was obviously a massive decrease in tourists coming to the region. Immediately businesses were starting to feel cash flow issues. A boost for businesses and police are hoping as holiday makers return it could provide another useful source of information. It's really important for us to understand if they see anything unusual when they return. It's really important for us to know immediately if a burglary has occurred at a house that's normally vacant. There have been more than 1,100 reports of information to police including unconfirmed sightings of freemen interstate. Victoria Police say it's a reminder to all Australians he could be anywhere.
