The attack was caught on a security camera. A car pulls over at a hitchhiking station near Jerusalem's central station. Two men get out and open fire repeatedly. This morning at 7.38 a vehicle with two terrorists on board armed with an M16 and a handgun got out and targeted a hitchhiking station. Very quickly two soldiers standing nearby and a civilian neutralized the terrorists who were killed. This put an end to the killing spree. Police say that the shooters, two Palestinians from East Jerusalem, had large quantities of ammunition in their vehicle. It's a miracle. We were really close. If the driver had gone 100 metres further, we could have been the targets for the terrorists. While police try to reassure residents saying Israeli forces are deployed everywhere to avert new attacks, the Divisive Minister of National Security said that Thursday's events proved he was right to encourage Israelis to get more firearms. This event proves another thing, the importance of distributing weapons. Despite criticism from various people, I will keep the policy of weapon distribution in any place. Ben-Gvir added that since the two shooters were believed to be linked to Hamas, this proves Israel should stop its truce with the group and resume fighting in the Gaza Strip.
