Ousmane Dembele has been awarded the Ballon d'Or, football's top individual accolade, following his pivotal role in Paris Saint-Germain's Champions League triumph. Dembele surpassed Barcelona's Lamin Yemal for the honour.

On the women's side, Spain and Barcelona's Aitana Bonmati won the Women's Ballon d'Or for the third consecutive year. Australian player Steph Catley was the only Matilda nominated, finishing in 29th place.
