Authorities in Beaufort County, South Carolina, have linked a deadly shooting at a bar on St. Helena Island to an ongoing feud among a small group within a large crowd. The incident occurred during a homecoming after-party attended by up to 700 people, resulting in four deaths and 20 injuries. 

Investigators have collected evidence from the scene, including shell casings, but no arrests have been made. Despite the large number of attendees, officials report that no witnesses have come forward with information about the shooter or shooters, and they are urging anyone with knowledge of the incident to assist the investigation.

Earlier today, the Beaufort County Sheriff's Office updated the media on that horrible mass shooting over the weekend at a bar in South Carolina. CBS News Correspondent Chanel Call was listening in during that presser. Chanel, good to see you today. Can you remind us what happened this weekend and what did we learn this morning? Hey Mugo, yeah so that shooting you know happened at a bar on St. Helena Island. This is about 77 miles south of Charleston, South Carolina. So this all happened late Saturday night, early Sunday morning. This was Mugo, a class of 2000 homecoming after party and we know now that those shots rang out during closing time. So really late into Saturday night, early Sunday morning. There was a big crowd there. We know up to 700 people were there when this happened. Four people were killed and 20 people were injured. Now this morning Mugo, the Beaufort County Sheriff said they have a lot of evidence from the scene including several shell casings. They also say that they are investigating a persons of interest but no arrests have been made so far. Listen. Because we know based on the unfolding of the event on Saturday night, Sunday morning with a large crowd of folks. We know that there were two, possibly three within this crowd that had an ongoing feud with each other and as a result of this ongoing feud, this disagreement, this inability to communicate like we're doing now, they resorted to pulling guns and exchanging gunfire. And as a result of that, 20 people were injured. Four lost their lives and we have several that are still trying their best to recover from gunshot wounds that were sprayed in a crowd but intended for a particular person. So just a terrible situation there. Another mass shooting to report on here. Investigators now say Mugo that despite there being 700 people at that party, they say not one person so far has come forward saying they're a witness and have any kind of information or identification on the shooter or shooters here.
