After meeting with all 17 clubs, the NRL have said in a statement that any player who makes the move will be banned from rugby league for 10 years. And that ban also extends to any player agents who facilitate such a move. Now, it's hard not to think that this statement is directly pointed to the likes of Ryan Pappenhausen, Zach Lomax, and their manager, Clinton Schakowsky, who've all been heavily linked to the Rebel competition ever since former English rugby star and R360 founder Mike Tindall was spotted in the Queensland sheds after State of Origin this year. Now, the statement goes on to say that these steps must be taken in order to protect the integrity and the future of rugby league and echoes similar thoughts from the Rugby Union Federations, who only last week issued a similar statement and saying that any player who makes this move to the Rebel competition will no longer be allowed to represent their country. Now, Chloe, R360 still stands in very much an unknown in the sporting landscape. It is right now in the wait and see category, but the NRL have today made it very clear how they feel.
