Sydney's infamous 'Night Stalker', a serial rapist targeting women around Moore Park in the early 1990s, has been identified as 61-year-old Glenn Gary Cameron.

Glenn Gary Cameron, previously known only through police sketches and dubbed the 'Night Stalker', has been unmasked in a Sydney courtroom. He admitted to sexually assaulting eight women between 1991 and 1993, crimes that instilled fear across central Sydney and the inner west. 

Cameron was arrested after DNA testing linked him to the offences, leading to his apprehension at Sydney International Airport. He has pleaded guilty to 13 charges, including aggravated sexual assault, and remains in custody with bail refused. Cameron is scheduled to appear in court again.

He preyed on them in public, some lured to dark locations where he threatened to kill them unless they did what he said. He comes across to us as being a reasonably good conversationalist, to be able to engage them in conversation and certainly gain their confidence for them to follow him, yes. Horrific crimes he got away with until his arrest last year. DNA testing eventually tracked the serial offender down, leading to his arrest at Sydney International Airport. He was charged with 33 offences. He's been in custody since, not admitting to his crimes until today. Cameron pleaded guilty to 13 charges, including aggravated sexual assault. The Moorpark rapist finally revealed, and behind bars, Bell refused. Cameron will face court again next month. Samara Gardner, 10 News.
