The 2016 film Shin Godzilla is set to return to theaters in a remastered 4K version, with select screenings featuring 4DX and D-Box experiences. The film will be available in cinemas from August 14th.

The Pokémon Company has announced several new projects, including the release of Pokémon Friends for multiple platforms and previews of upcoming animated series, including a collaboration with Aardman set for 2027. Additionally, a band inspired by the G.I. Joe cartoon, Cold Slither, has released its debut album, featuring members from established metal groups.

On the animation side, the company showed footage from the new season of Netflix's Pokemon Concierge, and revealed a sneak peek at a new animated Poke-series, produced by Aardman, slated to arrive in 2027. You are a G.I. Joe fan? No, your ears are not deceiving you. That is, the band Cold Slither performing its eponymous metal tune. Originating in an episode of the 80s cartoon G.I. Cold Slither is now a very real band, consisting of members of Gruesome, Exhumed, and KMFDM. Cold Slither's self-titled debut album is out now. Nerding out in Hollywood, I'm Rick Damagella.
