A dangerous TikTok trend has made its way to Waukesha County, leaving some people concerned.

Police in Waukesha County are investigating multiple incidents believed to be connected to the 'door kick challenge,' a viral trend on TikTok. Surveillance videos show masked individuals kicking doors in residential neighborhoods during late-night hours, startling homeowners and raising safety concerns.

Authorities report at least five such incidents in neighborhoods around Sussex, with similar cases in Elm Grove and Heartland. No arrests have been made, and police are seeking public assistance to identify those involved. Residents and law enforcement are urging individuals to reconsider participating in the challenge, warning that it poses serious risks.

Newly released video shows alarming TikTok challenge

It's a tick tock trend. Homeowners in Waukesha County say they want no part of the door kick challenge. I'm Rebecca Cluff, your Waukesha County reporter. That noise is what Heartland resident Sandy Flurry woke up to. It was between 12 and 1230 in the morning. And I heard some screaming. Police gave us this surveillance video of the incident. The homeowner gave us even more. He says what we didn't see is he grabbed a gun and went outside to confront those who came to his house, but they had already left. The homeowner spoke to me over the phone and told me he's a combat veteran and thought it was someone breaking through his door or firing a shotgun. His neighbor says she could hear the bang next door in her bedroom. It was really loud. Heartland police believe the teens in the video were participating in the viral tick tock challenge called the door kick challenge. Police in Elm Grove also released this surveillance video asking for people to help them identify this person wearing a mask caught on a ring camera. Police say they had multiple incidents last week between the hours of 130 and 3 AM. Waukesha County Sheriff's Office say they also had at least five reported incidents in neighborhoods around Sussex. So far, no one has been caught in any of these instances. I think it's crazy. You gotta you got to do it. You gotta be kind of crazy because you never know what's on the other side of that door. Everyone I spoke to believe the teens are doing the tick tock challenge, but they urge them to think twice. I think a lot of things in Tick Tock become fads and. You know. It's until somebody gets hurt and then that's a problem. Please stop doing this because somebody is going to get hurt again. So far, no arrests.
