CBS News has reviewed a memo regarding preparations for the donated Qatari Boeing 747-8 jumbo aircraft, which may be used as Air Force One.

Preparations are in progress to refit a Boeing jet donated by the Qatari royal family for potential use as Air Force One. Senior U.S. officials have already reviewed the floor plans for the aircraft, which is valued at $400 million.

The process of converting the jet for presidential use is expected to require the U.S. to spend hundreds of millions of dollars on renovations. The donation and planned upgrades follow an announcement made earlier in the year by President Trump.
