For Mitchell Stark, it's barely been days between balls. I had the weekend off, yeah, so back into it, the bowl today and I feel okay. No real rest for the Ashes hero, keen to get back into the big bash and it's been a long time since his last appearance in the tournament. I cannot even remember the last game I played, I think it might have been BBL5 maybe. It was in December 2014, 11 years ago, but there's no denying the 35-year-olds still got it. I'm enjoying it, I feel like my body's still in a good enough place to do it. Part of my role is my airspeed and I've been able to hold onto that for 5 tests this summer. So much so, he was still consistently clocking over 140km's in Sydney and at least for a little while, there's no end in sight. I love pulling the bag of green and going out with some of my close mates, so that's going to change at some point and my body will let me know before anything else I'd say, but I won't be bowling at 40. His pace prowess will be on full display in the Sydney smash on Friday and he's put the Sydney Thunder batters on notice. Maybe stick a few bounces up semi-constant if he plays or something like that, but it'll always be a little bit of extra feeling in a Sydney smash and there's been a bit of history there between the two teams, so I'm sure it'll be another exciting contest.
