Microsoft has announced an executive restructuring, appointing Judson Althoff as CEO of its commercial business. This change involves Althoff taking over managerial duties related to commercial, marketing, operations, and go-to-market activities, which were previously overseen by Satya Nadella. Nadella remains CEO of Microsoft, and the move is not related to succession planning. 

The decision is aimed at freeing up technical managers to concentrate on developing AI infrastructure and products. With this appointment, Microsoft now has four executives holding CEO titles across different divisions, including LinkedIn and Artificial Intelligence.

Hey there, Carl. Yeah, a little executive shakeup over at Microsoft. Now, Judson Althoff, he is the vice president in charge of sales. He is getting a new CEO title now for the commercial business, offloading some responsibilities of Satya Nadella, the CEO of Microsoft. He's sticking around, by the way. This is not a succession thing, I'm told. But now Mr. Althoff is going to be running basically all commercial, marketing, operations, go-to-market, basically all the managerial stuff. And in a memo to employees that went out this morning from Satya Nadella announcing this promotion, this is really designed to free up the technical managers to focus on things like AI infrastructure and AI products. This is, by the way, guys, this is the fourth CEO title at Microsoft. So you have Satya Nadella, you now have Judson Althoff, you have Ryan Roslansky, who's the CEO of LinkedIn. And then you, of course, have Mustafa Suleiman, who is the CEO of Artificial Intelligence. So now we've got four CEO titles at this behemoth Microsoft, guys. So not quite a co-CEO role. No, not exactly. No, it's more splitting up the responsibilities among many different CEOs. Co-CEOs are very in right now. Yes, they are. A lot of announcements. Although Oracle wouldn't call them that, I don't think, right? They don't refer to them as co-CEOs. They're just both CEOs. Comcast, Heron Company, Spotify. Thank you, Steve. Steve Kovach.
